If you have never been to an A.A. meeting you may have reservations about what it is like and what kind of people will be there. Don't worry, that's normal. Most of us had preconceived ideas about what it was like before we came and experienced it for ourselves.
A.A. Meetings are made up of people from all walks of life. We are as diverse as the community in which you live in regards to race, age, gender and profession. Our members range from the unemployed to corporate executives and everything in between. The truth is that our group looks a lot like you and people you know.
Maybe you're not sure if you are an alcoholic. Maybe you're sure you are but don't know what to do about it. Are you tired of feeling the shame and frustration of not being able to stop drinking? Have your relationships with family and friends suffered enough? If you're like many of us this sounds familiar. If you are curious to see how we we have recovered, come visit us.
If you are new to A.A., join us for our foundation meeting. At this meeting you can expect to gain insight into the disease of alcoholism, what A.A. is, and what it is not. There are no dues or fees to attend so come check us out and see "how many thousands of men and women have recovered from alcoholism."
